Message from the National President

Dear Members, Alumni, Partners, and Esteemed Visitors,

It is with humility and deep responsibility that I welcome you to the official DESA-UEW website.

This site is more than a digital platform; it embodies our shared identity, values, aspirations, and the strong bonds that unite the DESA-UEW family. It provides a space to connect, share information, celebrate achievements, and promote our association’s mission and vision.

As National President, I am inspired by the dedication, resilience, and commitment of our members, alumni, and leaders at every level. Your contributions—large and small—shape our association’s growth and strengthen our impact in our communities and beyond.

In a rapidly changing world, thoughtful leadership, active citizenship, and lifelong learning are essential. As students, we have a responsibility to promote democratic values, social responsibility, and national development. I am confident that together we will uphold these ideals while creating opportunities that empower our members academically, professionally, and personally.

I urge every member to remain actively engaged, support one another, and embrace the unity and service that define us. Let us work together with mutual respect, integrity, and a shared commitment to excellence.

On behalf of the National Executive Council, I extend sincere gratitude to our patrons, alumni, stakeholders, and all who support DESA-UEW’s growth. Your encouragement and partnership are invaluable.

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you find it informative, inspiring, and reflective of the vibrant community we’ve built. May this platform strengthen connections and lead to even greater achievements ahead.

H.E FRANCIS ANTWI BOASIAKO
Current National President 2025-2026
Our Vision

Who We Are

"It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows."

To bring together students under the Distance Education program and develop a sense of belonging to the Union, and make a positive impact on members’ students’ journey.

Feeling like an outsider is a personally painful, negative experience, a cognitive distraction that undermines focus and academic performance.
We are passion to create a feeling that members are recognized for their achievements and valued as individuals, and this will encourage Students to excel in their academic pursuit and connect with other colleagues. It is one of the core drivers to improve students engagement.

Our Misson

What We Do

"It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows."

Enhancing students’ experience through service while striving to support the Educational Mission of the University.

Diversity is important in every certain. That is why, enhancing your experience as a student is held in high esteem.
Development comes through knowledge about and knowledge acquired. How vested you are with things surrounding DESA enhances your experience not only in the academic world, but in connecting and leading.
You matter and so must make use of the opportunity to broaden your horizon of learning to better yourself.
